Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Master Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, as well as sourcing or fabricating replacement components. Key duties include interpreting blueprints, creating rough sketches, and guiding apprentices or journeyman electricians. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring systems function optimally while drafting preventative maintenance plans and communicating them effectively to clients and team members. Additionally, the Master Electrician oversees obtaining necessary permits, tools, and materials, provides emergency assistance, and maintains detailed project documentation and reports. Regular collaboration with clients, vendors, and electricians is required to ensure seamless project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing, repairing, and servicing electrical systems.
• Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
• Interpreting blueprints and drawing rough sketches when required.
• Guiding and overseeing other apprentices or journeyman electricians.
• Drawing up preventative maintenance measures and explaining these to clients and other electricians.
• Obtaining required permits, equipment, tools, and materials for projects.
• Testing and troubleshooting systems.
• Assist in the Electrical Apprenticeship program (Master of Records)
• Willing to be trained in NFPA70E Arc Flash and train new employees as they come on board
• Assist in vibration analysis, Infrared scanning, blueprint redlining and temperature analysis (motors, gearboxes, etc.)
• Providing assistance during emergencies.
• Updating project records and preparing relevant documents and reports for clients.
• Liaising with clients, vendors, and other electricians.
