The Manufacturing Electrical Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing machinery. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, enhancing equipment reliability, and supporting production efficiency in a safe and compliant environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues using various tools and testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Calibrate and adjust machinery to meet production specifications.
- Follow strict safety protocols and adhere to electrical and mechanical codes and regulations.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and address performance issues.
- Document all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and associated costs.
- Maintain a well-stocked inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Train and guide junior technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices.
