Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership, instilling a sense of urgency, and driving problems toward resolution to ensure that quality systems, procedures, and instructions meet Customer requirements, our objectives, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality management systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company objectives, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and direct 8D problem-solving teams for customer-related quality issues, including tracking, reporting, and maintaining necessary records.
  • Act as the primary contact for all customer quality concerns, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Provide support across all departments for quality system development, corrective/preventative actions, and problem resolution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with personnel from major OEMs and other QA professionals.
  • Assist in the selection and certification of suppliers as needed.
  • Collaborate on statistical process control improvements with manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Complete all APQP-related activities and other Quality Management System requirements.
  • Manage conflict and productivity issues professionally and constructively.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement aligned with strategic initiatives, such as BEST Wheel and PREP process.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement and forecast necessary resources.
  • Develop and manage the annual quality business plan and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements and quality standards.
  • Attend training to enhance job-related knowledge, skills, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve high customer satisfaction ratings and minimize PPM (Parts Per Million).
  • Identify potential improvements in quality, design, or production processes.
  • Supervise quality personnel and report monthly PREP results to the management team.
  • Monitor customer-related costs, including complaints and inspections.
  • Travel to customer sites for presentations and corrective action reports as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support departmental goals.
  • Comply with all company policies, operational procedures, and OHSA requirements, including IATF and ISO 14001 standards.
