Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd and 3rd
Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining all facility areas and production equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver dedicated to ensuring equipment reliability, GMP compliance, and food safety in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair, and maintain all production and building equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and required documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize production downtime.
• Implement continuous improvement projects to optimize operations.
• Assist in training employees on proper equipment operation and safety.
• Ensure 100% compliance with GMP and safety protocols while working on the production floor.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with production and building equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work 100% on the production floor and surrounding facility areas.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
• Commitment to following strict GMP and food safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within a food manufacturing or temperature-controlled environment.
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing initiatives.
