Job Description

The Director of Sales and Marketing position is a senior leadership role that combines strategic oversight with tactical execution to drive revenue growth and enhance market presence. The ideal candidate will focus on leading sales, customer service, and marketing teams while aligning commercial strategies with organizational goals. 

Compensation: $175-200K + 50% bonus potential

Key Focus Areas:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor sales, marketing, and customer service teams to achieve performance goals.
    • Develop and implement training programs to upskill team members and identify future leaders.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to create and execute business strategies.
    • Define market needs for product development and identify new market opportunities.
    • Develop pricing strategies and oversee marketing communications, including branding, advertising, and events.
  3. Customer and Market Development:
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to expand the customer base.
    • Represent the company in face-to-face meetings and at industry events.
    • Monitor competitors and market trends to stay ahead in the industry.
  4. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee metrics and success criteria for sales and marketing activities.
    • Recommend process optimizations and implement innovative systems for efficiency.
    • Ensure departmental activities align with the organization's strategic goals.
  5. Financial and Commercial Oversight:
    • Contribute to budgeting and financial planning.
    • Analyze financial reports to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
  6. Global Collaboration:
    • Occasionally liaise with the global commercial organization to ensure alignment with international objectives.

Competencies Sought:

  • Strong background in sales and marketing, with experience in hydronic heating and cooling or related HVAC/R fields.
  • Leadership, change management, and entrepreneurial skills to drive business transformation.
  • Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence and a track record of talent development.
  • Analytical capabilities, including proficiency in financial and operational reporting tools.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in industry-related roles, including at least 3 years in senior management.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 60% regionally, nationally, and internationally.
