Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer specializing in air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, heat pumps, and split systems. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Sr Refrigeration Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our product development, design, and manufacturing processes. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, performance, and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:

Product Development: Contribute to the product team through product design, testing, data analysis, and project management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to initiate and execute design changes. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential.
Thermodynamic Systems: Balance thermodynamic systems containing compressors, condensers, metering devices, and evaporators to achieve desired product efficiency and capacity.
Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Components: Analyze, design, modify, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical sub-components and sub-systems based on test data or field feedback.
Compliance: Apply mechanical codes such as UL, ETL, CE, ASME to ensure product compliance.
Team Culture: Foster a culture of continual improvement within the team, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.
Project Management: Contribute to on-time program completion and provide regular project status reports.
Testing: Coordinate and execute test programs to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical and electrical systems and components.
Documentation: Generate and review technical documentation for internal use within the product team.
Innovation: Stay hungry, diligent, and self-motivated, always seeking new opportunities to contribute.
Technical Expertise: Maintain an understanding of theories, concepts, and technical principles related to fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and other aspects of water- and air-cooled chillers.
Travel: Occasional domestic travel, generally less than 10%.
Design Proficiency: Proficiency in mechanical and electrical design, with the ability to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
Adaptability: Smart and able to read and interpret people and situations effectively.
Teamwork: Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to optimize cost, performance, and reliability in product layout and system configurations.
Servant Leadership: Embrace a servant leadership style of management, emphasizing teamwork and support.

Must-Haves:

Experience: 10+ years refrigeration systems product development and testing
Education: BS Engineering / MS preferred
