Role: HR Coordinator
Contract: Part-time Remote Contractor (80-100 hours monthly)
Business Hours: Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM EST
Rate $8 - $10 USD hourly / $640 - $800 monthly for 80 hours (Salary is negotiable depending on experience and location)
Availability to Start: Immediately

With a strong focus on personalized treatment, the center provides services in psychiatric rehabilitation, substance abuse programs, sports therapy, and medication-assisted treatment.
 
What You'll Do
As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing essential HR procedures, policy administration, and daily operational support. You are a committed, approachable, and detail-oriented professional who serves as a trusted, neutral resource for both staff and leadership while supporting recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, and performance tracking. The primary objective of this role is to support organizational success by maintaining strong HR systems, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and providing compassionate, high-quality guidance to employees and managers across the practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Recruitment & Onboarding Support
    • Talent Acquisition: Prepare job descriptions, post vacancy ads, and actively assist in candidate recruitment and pre-screening. 
    • Onboarding Plans: Create and implement structured onboarding plans to ensure smooth integration for new practice hires.
  • Employee Records, Compliance & Administration
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records (attendance, EEO data, and documentation) in accordance with US Labor Law requirements. 
    • HR Compliance & Invoicing: Review employment conditions to ensure compliance with US Labor Law Policies. 
    • Administrative Support: Support the Chief Operations Director with day-to-day operations and general HR administration.
    • Invoice Management: Responsible for ensuring all Employee, Contractor, and Vendor invoices are reviewed, processed, and paid accurately and on time.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management 
    • Disciplinary & Grievances: Support the management of workplace disciplinary actions, employee conflicts, and grievance procedures. 
    • Performance Reviews: Assist in executing performance management processes and training tracking. 
    • Employee Support: Act as an approachable, neutral liaison for staff members, providing clear guidance on HR policies and procedures.
What You Should Have
Must-haves:
  • At least 1 year of direct experience in U.S. Human Resources, supporting U.S.-based companies with practical knowledge of U.S. labor laws, employment regulations, and standardized disciplinary/grievance procedures. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting a U.S. company in a remote capacity. 
  • Strong familiarity with foundational HR functions, including U.S. recruitment and benefits/compensation administration.
  • Proven track record of experience with employee onboarding and performance management. 
  • Solid understanding and practical knowledge of U.S. labor laws, employment regulations, and legal compliance standards. 
  • Practical experience in assisting with performance management processes, tracking employee evaluations, and coordinating development plans. 
  • Knowledge and execution of standardized workplace disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and employee grievance procedures. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with HRIS/Payroll platforms (such as Rippling, ADP, Gusto, etc.). 
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal English communication, paired with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Combines empathy, diplomacy, and approachability with high ethical standards and proven reliability.
  • Strong organizational ability, decision-making aptitude, and time-management skills. 
  • Technology Specifications: 
    • Minimum 100 Mbps Internet Speed 
    • Windows 11 or macOS 15 Sequoia 
    • Minimum Intel i5 8th gen with 8GB of RAM or Apple M1 chip with 8GB of RAM

    • Designated Office Space in your Home

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Certificates or an Associate's Degree in HR or related fields. 
  • Prior experience implementing ATS and HRIS would be helpful. 
  • Prior experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, or clinical practice environments.
