What You'll Do As a Senior Tax Accountant, your role is essential in ensuring compliance with U.S. tax regulations and supporting clients with strategic tax planning and accurate filings. Success in this position means managing complex tax matters, maintaining current knowledge of tax laws, and delivering reliable, high-quality service to clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Handle complex tax compliance and planning for businesses and individuals, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
Prepare and review tax provisions while ensuring adherence to U.S. tax regulations.
Accurately prepare and file business tax returns such as Forms 1120S, 1120, 1065, and 1040.
Provide expert guidance on tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation before submission.
Conduct detailed reconciliations and maintain accurate and organized tax records.
Collaborate with accounting teams on financial reporting, bookkeeping, intercompany transactions, and payroll-related tax matters.
Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and ensuring timely reporting.
Stay informed on changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to maintain ongoing compliance.
What You Should Have Must-haves:
Minimum of five years of experience with US-based Accounting firms, focusing on Tax Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant with a background in Accountancy.
At least one year of experience in a global remote setup with a company based in North America, Europe, Australia, or the UAE.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; CCH Axcess Tax and TaxDome are a plus.
Skilled in preparing various tax returns: partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, individuals, and trusts.
Strong knowledge of US tax laws, compliance standards and multi-state filings.
Proven experience handling Forms 1120S, 1120, 1065, and 1040.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft 365.
Excellent English verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated leadership with a results-driven mindset.
Detail-oriented with expertise in complex reconciliations and tax documentation.
Self-motivated with strong time management skills in a remote environment.
