Job Description

Role: Senior Video Editor
Contract:
Part-time Remote Contractor (25 hours weekly / 100 hours monthly)
Business Hours: Monday to Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM EST (Fully Flexible Work Hours)
Rate: $8 -$10 USD hourly / $800 - $1,000 USD monthly (Salary negotiable based on experience and location)
Availability to Start: Immediately

What You'll Do
As a Senior Video Editor, you will transform raw footage into polished, engaging video content, with a primary focus on interview, webinar, and educational-style videos. You will also have the opportunity to edit product demo videos, highlighting key app features, zooming in on recordings, and enhancing overall presentation quality. The ideal candidate is independent, detail-oriented, and skilled in various editing styles, with a sharp eye for storytelling and visual appeal. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure all videos align with brand standards and are delivered on time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Video Creation & Content Editing
    • Edit raw footage by adding sound, captions, graphics, and other elements to produce engaging, high-quality videos.
    • Handle long-form editing by removing filler, smoothing transitions, adding intros/outros, and incorporating text, callouts, or visual effects.
    • Create short-form clips by identifying key moments, formatting them for social platforms, and adding subtitles, overlays, and effects to enhance engagement.
    • Enhance overall production quality through visual effects, sound editing, and rendering final video assets.
  • Project Management & Collaboration
    • Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables align with brand objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to understand requirements and translate them into effective video content.
    • Upload final videos and assets in line with internal standards and guidelines.
    • Stay current with editing trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve content quality and impact.

What You Should Have
Must-haves:
  • At least two years of experience as a Video Editor, editing long and short form content.
  • Minimum one year of experience working remotely with a company based in North America, Europe, Australia, or the UAE.
  • Proficiency in Adobe tools, CapCut, and other standard video editing software.
  • Experience in Project Management, including managing tasks and deadlines, updating assignees, and reporting (Asana experience is a plus!).
  • Familiarity with Slack for team communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Technology Specifications:
    • Minimum 100 Mbps Internet Speed
    • Windows 11 or MacOS 15 Sequoia
    • Minimum Intel i5 8th gen with 8GB of RAM or Apple M1 chip with 8GB of RAM
    • Webcam and Headset
    • Designated Quiet Office Space Nice-to-haves:
    • Proficiency with additional video editing tools and software.
    • Background in industries such as marketing, entertainment, or professional services.
    • Advanced skills in visual effects and animation.
