Job Description: Collections Manager
Location: Mexico
Reports To: Director, Order to Cash

In this role, you are responsible for overseeing the global end-to-end Cash to Collections process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. You will lead a global team, inclusive of our outsourced partner. This leader will oversee the full collections lifecycle—from managing portals and submitting invoices to coaching team members and resolving billing disputes. Key Responsibilities
▪ Oversee and manage all aspects of accounts receivable collections across all companies, ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding balances.
▪ Create and execute on collection strategies aimed at lowering delinquency metrics.
▪ Oversee the day-to-day work of the outsource partner and analyze/provide solutions to problems with the partner as needed.
▪ Oversee vendor strategy, sourcing, and contract management
▪ Lead and execute high-volume collection efforts through calls and emails enduring timely and accurate documentation of customer interactions.
▪ Identify and execute various initiatives that improve DSO and cash collections.
▪ Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and automate workflows
▪ Serve as the point of escalation for complex payment plans, bankruptcy, and other payment adherence issues.
▪ Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-off when necessary.
▪ Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes.
▪ Identify root cause and trends leading AR to age and identify how to proactively address.

Qualifications: 

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, related field, or equivalent experience
▪ Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounts receivable and collections
▪ Minimum of 2 years' experience in a managerial role
▪ Management experience in a Shared Service Center is a plus
▪ Proactive problem solver that can collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams.
▪ Extensive experience in AR, Cash Operations, and Collections Operations, inclusive of payment plan negotiation and bankruptcy.
▪ Strong Microsoft Excel Skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
▪ Experience working with various electronic portals.
▪ Assertive communication style with the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally

▪ Strong communication skills and ability to partner across all levels of the organization.
