Job Title: Cash Applications Specialist

Location: Mexico

Job Type: Permanent

Job Description:

Responsible for efficient receipt and processing of incoming payments in various forms (check, ACH, wire, credit cards, etc.) to customer accounts, utilizing strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Includes analysis of over- and short-pays, proper application to customer accounts, and daily reconciliation of all transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and post daily cash receipts to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate application of payments.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to the payment application.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all transactions.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve payment-related inquiries.
  • Continuously improve cash application processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in finance or accounting.
