Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ocean Freight Forwarding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating ocean freight shipments, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of ocean freight shipments, including booking, documentation, and tracking.
- Liaise with carriers, shippers, and consignees to ensure smooth and timely cargo movement.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all shipments.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Ocean Freight Forwarding (Do not apply if you have zero experience in Freight Forwarding)
- A quick learner with a “Can-Do” attitude and strong prioritization skills
- Exceptional customer service skills - Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must type 45 wpm minimum and be an effective communicator via email
- Hazmat certification is a plus
- Preferably with experience in vendor invoices, coordinates with ISF filing, US customs regulations
