Job Overview:
Valoroo in Belize City is seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to lead and oversee the operations and performance of our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing processes, providing hands-on training, coaching, and ensuring excellence in key logistics functions, including tracking and tracing, carrier sales, load building, and invoice processing within the factoring platform. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in logistics operations and leadership, with strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the logistics team in day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of tracking and tracing, carrier sales, load building, and invoice processing.
  • Implement and continuously improve standard operating procedures across logistics functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members to elevate performance and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback and guidance to achieve key metrics in productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including carrier management, customer service, and finance, to optimize logistics operations and meet client needs.
  • Oversee the use and optimization of the transportation management system (TMS) to ensure accurate and timely load entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, particularly billing and invoice processing.
  • Support the integration of new technologies or tools that improve the efficiency of logistics operations.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for upper management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics operations and leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
  • Proven track record in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with invoice processing within a factoring platform is a plus, as load building, and carrier sales
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools that enhance logistics processes.
