About the Role:
You will be responsible for assembling, configuring, and testing industrial machinery to exact specifications for a range of client projects. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will translate technical drawings into fully functioning equipment while ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards. Your contribution will be critical to delivering reliable machines on time and in compliance with OSHA and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build machinery and equipment according to technical drawings, schematics, and build instructions.
• Perform precision measurements on components and assemblies to verify tolerances and alignment.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed builds, documenting results and correcting non-conformances.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
• Install and route mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to meet design and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve build issues and implement design changes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with industrial safety and OSHA standards.
• Complete build records, inspection reports, and test documentation accurately and on time.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, or industrial equipment fabrication.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly diagrams.
• Proficiency in precision measurement using tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of industrial safety practices and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working in a contract or job-shop environment with varied machinery types.
• Background in equipment commissioning, testing, and field adjustments.
• Familiarity with basic electrical components related to machinery (sensors, switches, control panels).
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience completing detailed build documentation or working with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical trade school certificate or apprenticeship in mechanical, industrial, or related field preferred.
• OSHA safety training or certification highly advantageous.
• Any relevant certifications in hydraulics, pneumatics, or mechanical maintenance considered an asset.
