About the Role:
In this role, you will assemble and wire industrial control panels according to approved designs and customer specifications, ensuring work is completed safely and accurately. You will support project execution by documenting issues, communicating progress, and contributing to ISO/Quality Standards throughout the build process. Your work will help ensure projects meet cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble industrial control panels according to approved design drawings and customer specifications.
- Wire panels and related equipment in compliance with NEC and company standards.
- Troubleshoot wiring and circuits during build and test, resolving issues safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to guide assembly and wiring activities.
- Document changes, problems, and deviations from design, and communicate them to the project team.
- Provide regular updates on open issues and build progress to supervisors and project team members.
- Assist with the execution and adherence to ISO/Quality Standards in daily work.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions in the assigned work area.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in industrial control panel assembly and machine wiring.
- Intermediate proficiency in schematic interpretation and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with a strong focus on safety and product quality.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision while following direction accurately.
- Track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
- Ability to maintain a steady work pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and accessing machines above and below floor level.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication tasks.
- Willingness and ability to obtain Hi-Lo (forklift), aerial platform, and overhead crane licenses, and complete Lock Out Tag Out training.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment working with control systems.
- Familiarity with ISO or similar quality management systems.
- Prior exposure to customer-specific build standards and documentation practices.
- Experience supporting cost, quality, and timing objectives on technical projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Approximately 4 years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Related vocational or technical education in electrical, electronics, or industrial technology preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician card or equivalent industry certification preferred.
