About the Role:
As Contract Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of multiple projects, from initiation through to completion and handover. You will shape and manage delivery plans, control financial performance, and ensure risks and variations are tightly managed. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction, project profitability, and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, and outcomes are achieved.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project delivery plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, and variation management to ensure profitability targets are met.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing remediation plans and mitigation strategies as required.
• Lead change management activities, ensuring all scope changes are clearly defined, agreed, and communicated internally and to customers.
• Act as the key escalation point for customers, managing issues and driving timely, satisfactory resolutions.
• Conduct periodic project reviews to assess project health, performance, and alignment with objectives.
• Provide accurate forecasts for projects in execution, supporting operations in understanding cost of sale, quoted vs actual hours, and progressive profitability.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Demonstrated track record of managing project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and variation management.
• Strong risk management skills, with experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Solid experience in change management within projects, including scope control and change documentation.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret project performance data and provide clear insights.
• Ability to work autonomously in a contract role, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working in a similar industry or environment with a focus on profitability and cost control.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and operational efficiency.
• Exposure to contract management and commercial terms related to project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Engineering, IT, or related field).
• Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Additional training or certification in risk management, financial management, or change management is an advantage.
