- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments to resolve faults and restore equipment to full operation.
- Perform minor electrical tasks, such as basic wiring, connections, and component replacement, as required for service work.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and minor electrical issues on-site using appropriate tools, test equipment, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and observations, and prepare clear service reports.
- Liaise with customers on-site to explain findings, provide technical guidance on equipment use, and recommend corrective or improvement actions.
- Adhere to all relevant safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations while working on customer sites.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, Service Engineer, or similar role with a strong mechanical focus.
- Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial or mechanical equipment.
- Ability to perform basic electrical work, including safe handling of low-voltage systems and components.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and minor electrical issues.
- Comfortable working independently on customer sites and managing service tasks with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within France, Italy, and Germany, including occasional short-notice assignments.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and preparing clear service documentation.
- Valid driving licence and readiness to work in field-based environments.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with OEM equipment or complex automated machinery.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Previous experience in a multinational or cross-border service role within Europe.
- Basic proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., French, Italian, German) beyond your native language.
- Knowledge of digital service tools, remote diagnostics, or CMMS systems.
Qualifications:
- Vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Additional training or certification in basic electrical safety or electrical maintenance is an advantage.
- Manufacturer-specific training on relevant equipment types (where applicable) is preferred.
- Health and safety training or certification relevant to field service work is beneficial.
If you are a hands-on Field Service Technician who enjoys solving technical problems on-site and working across different European locations, we invite you to apply and be part of this specialised service team.
