About the Role:

In this role, you will provide pivotal engineering support to project delivery teams, ensuring the successful execution of control systems projects. As a key contributor, you will engage in technical delivery, including design, development, commissioning, and validation activities, directly influencing the quality and effectiveness of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to project delivery teams and collaborate with project leads and managers.
  • Assist with tender and quotation preparations and evaluate solutions aligned with core competencies.
  • Work with Business Development Managers to identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
  • Develop project designs according to tender specifications and represent Orise in client interactions.
  • Lead the development of PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions using vendor-agnostic platforms.
  • Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities on-site, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Provide on-call maintenance support to SLA customers and participate in site investigations.
  • Contribute to process optimization and engage in technical knowledge sharing across teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in electrical design and translating requirements into documentation and drawings.
  • Proven experience in designing and diagnosing PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, and network systems.
  • Ability to interpret control system requirements and create functional design specifications.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to excellent customer service and safe working practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia and an Australian Driver's License.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in project delivery across segments such as concrete, food & beverage, and smart buildings.
  • Exposure to multi-vendor technologies for PLC/SCADA.
  • Understanding of electrical design with AUTOCAD knowledge.
  • Relevant industry certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • Related trade background is considered.
