About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will provide engineering support to project delivery teams, ensuring technical excellence from design through commissioning. Your expertise will guide the development of innovative control systems solutions, directly impacting client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to project delivery teams as directed by project leads or managers.
  • Design, develop, and commission control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during consulting and technical meetings.
  • Share technical knowledge and experiences to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Maintain project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within financial and schedule constraints.
  • Develop proof-of-concept lab setups for training and customer engagements.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and on-site commissioning.
  • Offer on-call support and maintenance services to SLA customers.
  • Collaborate with bid managers to address technical risks.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical design and translating requirements into documentation.
  • Expertise in PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA, and network systems design and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret control system requirements and create detailed specifications.
  • Experience with risk and safety assessments, particularly in Hazardous Areas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in process optimization and ongoing system improvements.
  • Ability to adapt skills to new industry sectors and automation technologies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related discipline.
  • Australian Driver's License.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
