About the Role:

This position is pivotal in orchestrating the seamless delivery of complex projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in developing strategic project plans, managing financials, and driving successful outcomes that align with our business objectives and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project delivery plans, focusing on financial management and risk mitigation.
  • Communicate project strategies, risks, and changes effectively to both internal teams and clients.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews and report to the National Operations Manager.
  • Train and manage project team staff, fostering development and high performance.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Conduct periodic project reviews to assess health and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in pre-sales activities, including preparing tenders and defining project scopes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to meet their business needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in project management across diverse industries and project types.
  • Proven ability to manage large automation projects in sectors like process control and smart buildings.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and control systems in process, building, and energy management.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with a background in project and resource management.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to exemplary customer service and safe working practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience engaging with engineering colleagues to enhance technical skills.
  • Proactive in identifying and communicating new opportunities for value-added services.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation) or a related discipline.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
