Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation to support the installation, commissioning, and handover of automated systems. The successful candidate will have solid PLC programming experience, strong electrical knowledge, and a proven track record working with automation equipment in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and support automated systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and in line with project specifications.
- Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
- Install, commission, and validate automation equipment on-site.
- Diagnose electrical and control system faults and implement effective corrective actions.
- Work closely with project engineers, electricians, and operations teams during installation and commissioning phases.
- Support reliability improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending system enhancements.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Produce and maintain commissioning documentation, test records, and technical reports.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer within the automation sector.
- Strong PLC programming experience.
- Solid electrical knowledge, supported by relevant qualifications or training.
- Experience with the installation and commissioning of automation equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering or system performance improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively on-site and independently.
Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs.
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLCs.
