About the Role
We’re hiring experienced Industrial Pipefitters for a project-based contract role. This is a hands-on, physically active position ideal for individuals with experience in mechanical piping systems, pneumatic and hydraulic assembly, and blueprint interpretation.
You’ll be part of a skilled team working on medium-complexity industrial installations with a strong focus on precision, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout and install piping systems including:
- SCH40 black/galvanized pipe
- SCH80 PVC
- L-series copper (sweating)
- Tube bending for custom configurations
- Read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams
- Assemble and pipe mechanical equipment according to J.I.C. pipefitting specs
- Set working pressures, valve sequences, and hydraulic settings
- Identify and mark drawing changes accurately
- Understand the function and application of hydraulic and pneumatic components (e.g., valves, FRLs, check valves)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all site-specific safety and environmental regulations
- Ensure punctuality and maintain regular attendance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant pipefitting or mechanical assembly experience
- Technical school certificate or equivalent practical training
- Proven ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Must have own hand tools and PPE
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to lift/move up to 50 lbs when required
- Strong understanding of industrial safety protocols
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with rigging, mechanical layouts, and fluid systems
- Ability to troubleshoot pressure systems and valve sequencing
