About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join on a contract basis for 3–6 months. This role involves assisting in the disassembly, shipping, installation, and debugging of electrical systems and equipment in industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and be confident working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Electrical Supervisor with disassembly and shipping of equipment
- Support installation of equipment at customer facilities
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and layout controls equipment (e.g., panels, weld controllers)
- Debug and troubleshoot hardwired circuits using electrical meters
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and safety standards
- Track material requirements and perform non-BOM ordering as needed
- Update E-BOM summaries weekly and communicate progress
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Attend team meetings and follow project timelines
- Travel may be required for installation support
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of related electrical installation and troubleshooting experience
- Certificate from technical school or equivalent experience
- Proficient with reading and understanding electrical layouts and diagrams
- Hands-on experience with panel wiring, electrical meters, and debugging circuits
- Familiar with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Must have own tools and PPE
- Comfortable with physical tasks (standing, lifting, kneeling, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical documentation
- Knowledge of industrial electrical components (valves, controllers, HMIs, etc.)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable and able to work in fast-paced environments
