Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing solutions based on customer product requirements. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, involving process layout design, equipment evaluation, and continuous improvement across manufacturing systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in process design, production integration, and ergonomic planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer product specifications to develop efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes

  • Design and verify system layouts including joining methods (welding, SPR, TOX, etc.), staging, cycle time, and ergonomics

  • Collaborate with simulation and robotics teams to validate process viability through digital models

  • Interpret complex automotive part drawings and technical specifications to support process development

  • Support quoting and estimating efforts, providing detailed documentation and input on cost drivers

  • Select and validate appropriate tooling and equipment for manufacturing lines

  • Evaluate product/process changes for their impact on workflow, timing, and quality

  • Prepare manuals, documentation, spare parts lists, and progress reports for internal and customer use

  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across all activities

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system optimization efforts


Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred)

  • 1–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, process planning, or systems integration

  • Experience with automotive manufacturing is a plus


Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in reading technical documents, blueprints, and schematic drawings

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including knowledge of advanced concepts (statistics, variance analysis, etc.)

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and engineering software tools

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with design, simulation, and project teams

  • Effective communicator with experience creating reports, presenting solutions, and working with customers
