Job Description

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks on assemblies and structures, in accordance with detailed specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and general mechanical aptitude.


Key Responsibilities

  • Weld various components and assemblies using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding based on project and material requirements

  • Follow detailed drawings, work instructions, or customer specifications as directed by supervisors or team leads

  • Respond promptly to welding requests from the production floor and support fabrication needs in a timely manner

  • Maintain an organized supply of welding materials, tools, and consumables; notify leadership of shortages

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and notify supervisors of any major issues or required repairs

  • Ensure all welds meet internal and customer-required quality standards; inspect own work for defects or inconsistencies

  • Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety and environmental guidelines

  • Meet production deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship

  • Regular and consistent attendance is a key requirement of the position


Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Relevant hands-on welding experience or equivalent vocational training preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and work in a physically active environment

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical documentation


Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of welding methods and safety procedures

  • Ability to use measurement tools, hand tools, and welding equipment effectively

  • Familiarity with reading technical diagrams and mechanical drawings

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team

  • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks


Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Frequently exposed to moving machinery and moderate noise levels

  • Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock or minor hazards (proper PPE is required)

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or reach in a typical shop setting
