We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks on assemblies and structures, in accordance with detailed specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and general mechanical aptitude.
Weld various components and assemblies using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding based on project and material requirements
Follow detailed drawings, work instructions, or customer specifications as directed by supervisors or team leads
Respond promptly to welding requests from the production floor and support fabrication needs in a timely manner
Maintain an organized supply of welding materials, tools, and consumables; notify leadership of shortages
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and notify supervisors of any major issues or required repairs
Ensure all welds meet internal and customer-required quality standards; inspect own work for defects or inconsistencies
Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety and environmental guidelines
Meet production deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship
Regular and consistent attendance is a key requirement of the position
High school diploma or GED required
Relevant hands-on welding experience or equivalent vocational training preferred
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and work in a physically active environment
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical documentation
Strong understanding of welding methods and safety procedures
Ability to use measurement tools, hand tools, and welding equipment effectively
Familiarity with reading technical diagrams and mechanical drawings
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team
Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks
Frequently exposed to moving machinery and moderate noise levels
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock or minor hazards (proper PPE is required)
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or reach in a typical shop setting
