We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage and coordinate the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products. This role requires accuracy in processing shipments, maintaining inventory, and operating material handling equipment.
Process and prepare packages for shipment using shipping software such as UPS and FedEx
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing counts, weights, and documentation against bills of lading and invoices
Affix shipping labels and stencils, and prepare cartons or crates for shipment, including assembly and sealing
Load and unload shipments, ensuring all items meet quality and specification requirements
Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, document damages or shortages, and coordinate resolutions with suppliers
Operate forklifts and hand trucks to transport goods within the warehouse or production area
Maintain shipping and receiving areas in a clean and organized manner
Perform light maintenance and cleaning on company vehicles and equipment
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials
Plan and coordinate transportation logistics for customer deliveries
Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations
Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory/shipping software such as Microsoft Dynamics AX
Ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Good communication skills for coordination with team members and external contacts
Frequently required to stand, walk, lift, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Ability to adjust focus and utilize close and peripheral vision
Work environment includes moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor weather
