Job Title: Throughput Simulation Engineer (Contract)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Throughput Simulation Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project engineers and managers to understand customer requirements and gather process descriptions and data. Key responsibilities include:

- Developing tooling reliability models to estimate tooling downtime for analysis.
- Creating discrete event process models to simulate process flow and equipment downtime.
- Running simulation models and using statistical sampling techniques to estimate process throughput.
- Employing Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques or iterative simulations to identify significant factors and bottlenecks affecting process performance.
- Presenting study findings to management and customers, suggesting improvements to efficiency and process targets.
- Ensuring effective communication of process analysis for simultaneous engineering considerations.
- Utilizing feedback for continuous refinement of process models.
- Willingness for occasional short/extended travel to customer sites.
- Understanding and adhering to safety and environmental regulations, identifying concerns in KUKA’s facilities and customer sites.
- Participating in continuous improvement within the Quality System.
- Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Throughput Simulation/Discrete Event Simulation Engineering.
