Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Contract Controls Engineer in Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of automation technology and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and ensure system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems for various industrial applications.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate control solutions with existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and automation equipment.
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staff.
- Document control system specifications, configurations, and changes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in control system design and implementation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
- Familiarity with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Experience in robotics and motion control systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
