Job Title: Contract Controls Engineer

Overview:
Our Client in Puerto Rico is seeking a skilled Contract Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PLC programming, specifically with Siemens systems, as well as a strong background in robot programming, including ABB and Fanuc robots. This role requires excellent client interaction skills and the flexibility to travel to the USA for additional contract work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Siemens systems.
- Program and integrate ABB and Fanuc robots into automated systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems and controls.
- Conduct system tests and provide support during the commissioning phase.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain clear documentation of programming and system changes.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide training and support to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Travel to the USA for additional contract work as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens systems.
- Proficiency in robot programming, specifically with ABB and Fanuc robots.
- Strong understanding of automation systems and industrial controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must reside locally in Puerto Rico.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the USA for work on additional contracts.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other PLC systems and robotics platforms.
- Knowledge of HMI development and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Prior experience working in a contract or consulting role.
