Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Tool Maker to join our team on a contract or contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tool making and a strong background in automation tooling. This role requires national travel to various sites across the United States.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, manufacture, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds. - Collaborate with engineering teams to develop automation tooling solutions. - Perform troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of tooling and equipment. - Ensure tools meet stringent quality and performance standards. - Travel to various locations across the country to support tool making and automation projects.
Required Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in tool making, with a focus on precision and quality. - Strong expertise in automation tooling. - Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. - Proficient in the use of tool room equipment and machinery. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Willingness and ability to travel nationally as required.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in tool making preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tool making and automation tooling. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
