Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the nursing department's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a leader with strong clinical and managerial skills, dedicated to fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory nursing experience.
- RN licensed in Michigan, or willingness to obtain licensing upon offer/hire.
- Demonstrated experience in long-term care as a Director of Nursing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to relocate for the ideal candidate; relocation assistance available.
