Our 100-bed acute care hospital is located in Northern Arizona along the California border and the Colorado River. We are a short driving distance from Las Vegas, NV and Palm Springs, CA!
Position Summary
Assures the delivery of patient care with the skills of an experienced Registered Nurse. Position responsibilities include ensuring continuity of patient care, serving as a resource for subordinate staff, facilitating problem-solving, assisting with Quality Improvement Activities, staff education and assuring compliance with established policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years as Director of Surgical Services in a critical care hospital required (may consider substantial manager level experience)
- Arizona Registered Nurse and/or Compact State Registered Nurse required.
- Graduate of a Program in Nursing at Bachelors of Science level or higher required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Surgical Services department.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Manage and mentor surgical staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to optimize patient care.
