Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Santa Monica, California
Job Type: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience in an acute care hospital

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience in an acute care hospital and be able to provide compassionate and competent care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
- Assess and triage patients according to acuity level
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide quality patient care
- Document patient care in electronic medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians

Qualifications:

- Active California RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (upon hire)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate (upon hire)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
