The Role:

We’re seeking a talented Scriptwriter with a passion for direct response and storytelling. This role is part of their growing in-house video and creative team, supporting the production of high-impact commercials and digital content designed to convert. If you have a drive to be a subject matter expert and write compelling narratives and punchy lines that drive action—while still thinking creatively—this may be a great fit for you.

What You’ll Do

• Write persuasive, results-driven scripts for video and commercial content
• Translate marketing goals and product features into compelling customer-centric narratives, telling the story of why our client shines
• Collaborate with videographers, producers, editors, and creative directors to shape messaging and tone
• Pitch campaign concepts and script hooks that elevate direct response messaging
• Revise scripts based on feedback, performance data, and creative direction
• Brainstorm ideas that connect emotionally with homeowners and enhance brand storytelling
• Maintain brand voice while innovating beyond traditional TV formats

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3–7+ years of scriptwriting experience, ideally in direct response advertising
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content, TV spots, digital ads, or branded videos
• Ability to take a brief and turn it into both a strategic concept and a polished script
• Experience writing with performance, conversion, and emotional appeal in mind
• A creative mind that can work within guidelines but still push boundaries
• Collaborative spirit—comfortable working closely with editors, PMs, and leadership
• Excellent time management and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in video production or commercial editing
• Familiarity with creative strategy, concept pitching, or campaign development
• Experience working in-house or with home services, retail, or B2C brands
