We’re on the hunt for a strategic, design-savvy Video Editor who can bring stories to life and make raw footage shine. This is a long term contract role, on-site role 4 days a week in the south suburbs of MN.  Is it you?

THE ROLE:

This is not your average editing gig. We're looking for someone who can take a loose script and a sea of footage—and turn it into a compelling, on-brand story that captures attention and drives results. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design, a knack for storytelling, and the technical chops to do it all independently.

• Own the full editing process from footage to final cut
• Tell engaging stories that bring our signature services to life for homeowners
• Work with producers, writers, and creative teams to craft emotionally resonant content
• Add text graphics and light animation to enhance clarity and visual appeal
• Independently create and modify files in InDesign and Photoshop as needed
• Balance quality, deadlines, and feedback in a fast-paced environment

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience (commercial/direct response background a plus!)
• Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to find “the story” in generic footage
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Ability to add motion/text graphics and apply animation thoughtfully
• Experience running your own production work (or business) a major plus
• Able to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally with creative, PM, and leadership teams
• Organized, responsive, and thrives in fast-paced environments
• Benchmark: someone like “Alex”—creative, technically sharp, and design-minded

This contract role is $30–40/hour DOE.
