Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with producers to bind and secure renewals and new business.
  • Handle client requests for endorsements to policies, certificates of insurance, and high-level general questions.
  • Regular interaction with clients both on the phone and via email.
  • Handle all servicing aspects of an existing book of business as well as market new business.
  • Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options / exclusions; making coverage recommendations; requesting policy changes and assisting with the needs of the client.

 Qualifications: 

  • Valid Massachusetts state Property & Casualty Insurance License or Personal Lines License.
  • 5 years of Personal Lines Insurance experience within a brokerage firm.
  • Good understanding of all coverages and related laws, codes, regulations; all aspects of marketing process; commercial insurance rating, insurance terminology, and concepts; insurance company operations and their relations to the sales/marketing process as well as policy structure and content.
  • Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment and technology & computer proficiency including agency management systems.
  • Outstanding communication, written and verbal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
