Job Description:
We are teaming up with a family owned and operated construction supply company in their search for a Site Manager to lead the Rapid City office location and services. The successful candidate will provide sound business and team member support for a team of 5 servicing Western South Dakota's supply needs ranging from sales support, customer relations, production oversight, and leading deployment of updated technology and policy changes in alignment with company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead staff and all branch operations as directed by company policies. This includes hiring, staff scheduling, performance management, implementing and communicating changes, policy updates, etc.
- Maintain company assets (computers, office equipment, building, dock, phones, vehicles, forklifts, etc.) so that general business operations run efficiently.
- Compile operation related reports (sales, inventory, financial, and other reports) to stay updated on business activities, develop a business and pricing strategy, obtain general information to identify growth opportunities and liabilities, market trends, etc.
- Develop and maintain business relations within the community through marketing and other techniques to promote and grow the business regionally.
- Provide support and handle escalated or sensitive customer & vendor concerns for the location.
- Lead by example and by doing, assist with sales support, production and distribution roles as needs arise.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of team leadership, site management, store management or equivalent leadership and business experiences required.
- Associate's degree required, or equivalent experience considered.
- Have the ability to use common hand tools, handle small parts, and operate assembly machines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including: Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with web-based databases preferred (Oracle).
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
