Job Description:

We are partnering with a reputable private bookkeeping and business consulting services company to add a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team in Sioux Falls, SD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in certified payroll and complex payroll processing, including job allocations in construction and/or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring compliance with client company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage certified payroll processes, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Handle complex payroll tasks, including job allocations and adjustments, employee benefit deductions, etc.
• Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with clients and internal peers to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Generate and distribute payroll reports as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in payroll processing, with a focus on certified payroll.
• Strong understanding of complex payroll tasks, including job allocations or job costing.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Professional communication and customer service mindset.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience required, with some experience in certified payroll.
