Lead Application Developer

Location: Duluth, GA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Compensation: Up to $125K + 8% target bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a hands-on Lead Application Developer to join their team and support a major enterprise application modernization initiative.

This person will play a key role in modernizing legacy applications using Vue 3 and Node.js while providing technical leadership to a small development team. The ideal candidate is a strong frontend developer who can own projects from design through deployment and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize enterprise applications using Vue.js and Node.js.

• Lead hands-on frontend development throughout the full SDLC.

• Design, code, test, debug, and deploy application enhancements.

• Integrate REST APIs and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.

Required Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of application/frontend development experience.

• Strong Vue.js/Vue 3 experience.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Experience with Vuetify, Pinia, and Vite.

• Understanding of OOP and MVC/MVVM architecture.

• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and responsive web development.

• Familiarity with automated testing (Vitest, Jest, or Mocha).

• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.

Nice to Have

• Pega PRPC experience (Class Structure and Rulesets).

• Node.js, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Gradle.

• Enterprise application modernization experience.
