Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Life Sciences & Advanced Facilities)

About the Opportunity:
An established engineering and technical services organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical leader on complex design and construction projects. This position combines hands-on electrical engineering expertise with project leadership responsibilities, supporting clients across highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and project stakeholders to develop innovative engineering solutions, oversee design execution, and mentor engineering staff throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
-- Lead electrical engineering design efforts from concept through construction documentation.
-- Perform engineering studies, calculations, analysis, and system evaluations.
-- Develop and review technical specifications, construction documents, and project cost estimates.
-- Coordinate design activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
-- Provide technical leadership and oversight to engineers and design professionals.
-- Review project progress and identify scope changes or additional service requirements.
-- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
-- Interface with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and project stakeholders as needed.
-- Support the development of construction drawing packages and engineering deliverables.

Qualifications
-- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
-- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
-- 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
-- 3+ years supporting Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or similar highly regulated environments.
-- Experience with laboratories, healthcare facilities, mission-critical environments, or data centers is highly desirable.

Strong expertise in:
-- Electrical power systems
-- Building electrical systems
-- Process equipment integration
-- Critical infrastructure design
-- Experience preparing and reviewing:
-- Single-line diagrams
-- Grounding systems
-- Lightning protection systems
-- Lighting and power distribution plans
-- Fire alarm systems
-- Communications and security infrastructure
-- Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and related industry standards.
-- Familiarity with energy and sustainability codes including ASHRAE and LEED principles.
-- Experience with power system analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower preferred.
