Mobile Software Engineer (NFC & IoT)

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Mobile Software Engineer to help build next-generation mobile applications for our client that interact with connected devices and cloud-based services. This role focuses on creating seamless, secure, and highly reliable mobile experiences that bridge the gap between smartphones and IoT hardware.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing mobile applications for Android and/or iOS, integrating NFC and Bluetooth technologies, and building solutions that continue to function reliably even in low-connectivity or offline environments.
This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative products that combine mobile software, cloud services, and physical devices to deliver intuitive user experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
- Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and/or iOS applications using Swift.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with NFC technologies, including Android NFC APIs and/or Apple's Core NFC framework.
- 3+ years of experience working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- 3+ years of experience building applications that interact with IoT devices or connected hardware.
- 3+ years of experience with React Native or another cross-platform mobile development framework.
- Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing secure offline authentication workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience working with connected-device ecosystems, access control solutions, or smart devices.
- Knowledge of secure credential storage and mobile security best practices.
- Experience publishing and maintaining mobile applications in production environments.
- Familiarity with mobile performance profiling and optimization techniques.
