Job Title: Fixed Income Product Manager
Location: NY or FL or Boston
Department: Capital Markets – Fixed Income
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Global Equities and Investment Banking Technology
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
- Lead the roadmap for fixed income product offerings, focusing on the integration of trading platforms (e.g., Blackrock Aladdin, Investor Tools, Archer) to ensure seamless operations across multiple financial institutions.
- Collaborate with technology teams to deliver new functionality, enhancements, and technical solutions for RIA Trading Platforms, with experience in handling data integration (DB2, Oracle) and cloud-based solutions like Power BI.
- Support the integration of new IT infrastructure that enables Prime Broker and Trade-Away clearing options, ensuring tech solutions meet both regulatory and market demands.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with trading desks, sales, and technology teams (Web Services, Mainframe, QA) to ensure effective product delivery, system performance, and regulatory alignment.
- Serve as a bridge between the business side (RIA, Broker Dealer) and the technical teams, ensuring IT solutions align with business objectives and drive product success.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to support the entire product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-launch support.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Use tools like Power BI (or similar) to provide data-driven insights on product performance, usage trends, and profitability to inform future product enhancements and technology investments.
- Deliver detailed technical reporting on product-level metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and IT-driven innovations.
Risk & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure all product documentation and system integrations comply with FINRA, SEC, and internal standards, collaborating with technology teams to enforce regulatory requirements at the system level.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to support regulatory filings, audits, and policy updates, ensuring the platforms maintain the highest compliance standards.
Sales Enablement & Training
- Develop product materials and training programs to support sales teams with technology-driven insights and product demos for clients.
- Conduct sessions to educate financial advisors and sales teams on the new features of the platform and how technical integrations enhance product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in fixed income product management, business analysis, or IT solutions in financial services.
- Deep understanding of fixed income markets, data integration, and trading platforms (BNY SuRPAS, Blackrock Aladdin, Power BI, DB2, Oracle or similar).
- Proven experience working with Agile teams, supporting IT infrastructure, and delivering MLO trading capabilities to Broker Dealers and RIAs.
- Strong understanding of Web Services, Mainframe systems, and Quality Assurance processes in the context of trading platform development and integration.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
