Field IT Engineer

Location: Onsite | Atlanta, GA

Our client is seeking a Field IT Engineer to play a key role in supporting day-to-day IT operations across local, regional, and global teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, service-oriented IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident supporting senior leadership and executive teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide onsite IT support for networks (LAN/WAN), telephony, printers, and user devices.

  • Set up and maintain PCs, laptops, desktops, and high-end engineering workstations.

  • Manage security protocols such as backups, recovery, audits, and virus protection.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in line with global service level agreements.

  • Deliver white-glove executive support, both in-office and remote.

  • Lead IT initiatives involving network installs, AV equipment, and corporate real estate projects.

  • Maintain IT asset inventories and manage vendor coordination and procurement.

  • Support IT planning, program execution, and business continuity efforts.

  • Oversee computer room operations and disaster recovery planning.

  • Execute IT refreshes, system upgrades, and implementation projects.

  • Collaborate closely with global and local IT teams, leadership, and vendors.

  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and manage component repairs or replacements.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of technical support experience, with LAN/WAN troubleshooting.

  • Extensive experience supporting executive leadership in high-stakes environments.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows 11, Dell PC/server systems, and remote tools.

  • Proficiency with CISCO routers, switches, telephony systems, and network layouts.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, and LAN technologies.

  • Skilled in structured cabling and managing complex enterprise infrastructure.

  • Experience working in global organizations and managing external vendors.

  • Proven ability to support companies of similar scale to our client.
