CNC Operator – Day Shift | Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour, with additional consideration based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM
Overtime: Friday and Saturday as needed

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated CNC Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a local employer. This position offers a consistent four-day workweek with opportunities for additional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC or machining experience who is looking for steady full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and/or CNC mills to produce parts according to specifications
• Review work orders, part prints, and inspection information to understand production and quality requirements
• Monitor CNC equipment throughout the machining process
• Learn and understand basic machine offsets and make adjustments as appropriate
• Use measuring and inspection equipment to verify finished parts meet specifications
• Work with tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Change cutting tools and reposition workpieces as needed
• Identify potential quality or equipment concerns and communicate them to supervision
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Follow established safety and quality procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous CNC, machining, or related manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience operating CNC lathes and/or CNC mills is a plus
• Basic understanding of machine offsets preferred
• Ability to read work instructions and part prints
• Familiarity with precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members

Physical & Work Requirements

This is an active position that may require standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and regularly handling materials or equipment.

Candidates should be comfortable working around operating machinery, elevated noise levels, oils, cutting fluids, dust, and other conditions commonly found in a machining environment.
