Cloud Architect – Defense Search

Immediate opening for a Cloud Architect in Ft. Meade, MD who possesses:

• Cloud architecture and Azure migration experience, with proven work on M365 and Azure environments

• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, plus PowerShell and Python scripting

• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, with M365 and Azure identity, authentication, and security controls

• MUST have TS/SCI Clearance and Full Scope Poly

FULL DESCRIPTION:

The Cloud Architect will maintain an efficient and cost-effective migration of data, applications, and other technologies from an on-premises platform to a cloud-based infrastructure.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Migrate data from on-premises or legacy systems to the cloud

• Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive

• Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues

• Conduct risk assessments and identify technical requirements

• Manage project timelines

• Identify and recommend optimization and cost-saving opportunities in the cloud environment

• Work with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after migration

• Provide post-migration support and address issues that arise

• Document configurations, processes, and procedures

• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts

• Implement security and compliance policies

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing

• Ensure seamless integration, security, and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Cloud architecture experience

• Proven experience as an M365 Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on M365 and Azure cloud environments

• Proven experience with Azure cloud services and migration projects

• Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management

• Python experience

• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive

• Strong understanding of M365 and Azure platforms, including identity management, authentication mechanisms, and security controls

• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, and understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, and the ability to self-organize and prioritize tasks

• MUST have TS/SCI Clearance and Full Scope Poly

Salary Range: $216k/year
