  • 1 to 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, supply chain, or a related manufacturing support function
  • Experience coordinating material flow, production schedules, inventory, or work orders
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Six Sigma or Kaizen preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO and/or AS9100 standards preferred
  • Strong Excel, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support production planning, material flow, inventory control, outsourcing, logistics, and related manufacturing activities within an aerospace and defense electronics environment. This temp-to-hire role will work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, Purchasing, Logistics, and outside suppliers to help ensure materials, work orders, RMAs, and production schedules move efficiently through the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Production Manager with supply chain and logistics activities
  • Supporting material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, and distribution activities
  • Coordinating integrated processes across Operations, Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, Purchasing, Logistics, and outside suppliers
  • Assisting with planning and coordinating workflow across departments based on established sequences and lead times
  • Monitoring production activity to help ensure timely movement of materials through the manufacturing process
  • Working with Production personnel to support accurate and timely entry of data into production work orders or RMA systems
  • Monitoring and expediting the flow of goods, resources, and information
  • Supporting production schedules to help meet shipping deadlines and customer commitments
  • Assisting in development and maintenance of production schedules
  • Monitoring work orders, material availability, and production priorities
  • Helping identify potential delays, shortages, or workflow constraints
  • Escalating bottlenecks and problem areas when necessary
  • Supporting development of solutions to production and supply chain issues
  • Preparing and analyzing production reports
  • Monitoring operational performance and applicable KPIs
  • Supporting inventory accuracy and material control activities
  • Coordinating with internal departments regarding changing priorities and production requirements
  • Supporting RMA-related workflow and data entry activities
  • Maintaining accurate production, supply chain, inventory, and RMA documentation
  • Supporting company quality systems and operational procedures
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Helping improve efficiency, productivity, material flow, and quality
  • Supporting corrective and preventive action activities
  • Communicating effectively with internal departments and outside suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate records and organized documentation
  • Performing other supply chain, production coordination, and logistics duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or a related manufacturing environment preferred
  • Aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience supporting production work orders preferred
  • Experience with RMA processes or related production tracking systems preferred
  • Experience coordinating material flow and production priorities preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Six Sigma or Kaizen exposure preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO quality systems preferred
  • AS9100 familiarity preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and escalate issues appropriately
  • Strong decision-making skills required
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently required
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to adapt to changing production and supply chain priorities
  • Ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, Customer Support, and outside suppliers
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
  • Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunity

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing production schedules, work orders, inventory information, RMA records, reports, and related documentation
  • Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, document handling, and standard office tasks
  • Ability to review spreadsheets, production reports, work orders, ERP or RMA information, and computer screens for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office, production, inventory, and logistics areas as needed
  • Ability to interact regularly with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Support, Sales, and other departments
  • Ability to work around normal manufacturing and production activity when entering operational areas
  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow applicable manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail while managing multiple production and supply chain priorities
