FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to support part-time blood draw services for clients in the Angwin and Santa Rosa, CA areas. This role is responsible for performing venipuncture blood collection, verifying patient information, maintaining specimen integrity, properly labeling and preparing specimens, coordinating sample transportation or shipment, and providing professional patient care in a mobile setting. The ideal candidate will have a valid California phlebotomy certification, strong phlebotomy experience, reliable transportation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting patient-centered care.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Traveling to assigned client locations in the Angwin and Santa Rosa areas
- Performing blood draws efficiently, professionally, and accurately
- Verifying test requisitions and bringing discrepancies to the attention of appropriate personnel
- Verifying patient identity before specimen collection
- Obtaining blood specimens through venipuncture collection
- Maintaining specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following department procedures
- Tracking collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting collection times
- Properly labeling and preparing specimens for shipment or transportation
- Ensuring specimens are packaged and placed in designated coolers for mobile transportation
- Following strict specimen handling procedures to support safe and timely transport
- Maintaining quality of work by following department procedures and testing schedules
- Promptly reporting issues, delays, or concerns to the dispatch team
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Using mobile clock-in and clock-out procedures
- Following delivery schedules, routes, and mobile communication procedures as assigned
- Maintaining accurate documentation throughout the collection and transportation process
- Supporting blood draw services within behavioral health care environments
- Providing respectful, compassionate, and patient-centered care
- Communicating professionally with patients, client site staff, dispatch, and internal team members
- Maintaining confidentiality and following applicable patient privacy requirements
- Updating job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional development as needed
- Seeking coaching or mentoring when appropriate
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Valid California phlebotomy certification required
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required
- Experience drawing blood from behavioral health patient populations strongly preferred
- Experience with a variety of patient populations preferred
- CPT II certification preferred
- Reliable personal vehicle required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel between assigned locations required
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism required
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role required
- Strong patient care skills required
- Compassionate and professional communication style required
- Ability to follow a set part-time schedule required
- Ability to work Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM required
- Ability to work Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM required
- Ability to remain available for sample processing or shipment needs after scheduled draw times as needed
- Ability to follow specimen collection, labeling, processing, packaging, and handling procedures
- Ability to communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, patients, and internal team members
- Ability to maintain competency and complete continuing education requirements as applicable
- Ability to work in the Angwin and Santa Rosa, CA areas
- Ability to support a permanent, part-time opportunity

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel between assigned client locations using a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout client locations as needed
- Ability to use hands and fingers for blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, documentation, mobile clock-in/out, and standard phlebotomy tasks
- Ability to perform venipuncture and related phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely
- Ability to prepare, process, handle, package, and transport specimens according to established procedures
- Ability to use phlebotomy supplies, specimen processing materials, coolers, mobile devices, centrifuge equipment, and related tools as needed
- Ability to communicate by phone, email, text, and in person throughout the workday
- Ability to maintain professionalism, compassion, accuracy, and attention to detail while working independently in patient care environments
- Ability to follow all safety, infection control, specimen handling, patient privacy, mobile transportation, and client site procedures
Salary Range: $24 to $25/hour DOE
