FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a System Engineer Level 3 to support requirements engineering, risk management, acquisition documentation, architecture framework documentation, and Configuration Control Board activities in a secure defense environment. This permanent role is focused on supporting mission-driven systems engineering efforts, including requirements analysis, documentation, risk tracking, DoDAF/UAF artifacts, acquisition support, and coordination with program stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, extensive systems engineering experience, strong documentation skills, and hands-on experience supporting requirements, risk, acquisition, and CCB activities within a classified environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting systems engineering activities within a secure defense environment
- Performing requirements engineering and requirements documentation activities
- Supporting risk management processes, tracking, documentation, and reporting
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining acquisition documentation
- Supporting DoDAF/UAF documentation and related architecture framework artifacts
- Participating in Configuration Control Board activities
- Attending and supporting CCB meetings as required
- Coordinating with program managers, engineering teams, stakeholders, and technical personnel
- Supporting documentation related to system requirements, program risks, architecture, and acquisition activities
- Reviewing technical information and ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with program expectations
- Helping identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and documentation needs
- Providing technical systems engineering support to program leadership
- Supporting classified program activities in a fully onsite secure environment
- Maintaining professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required
- 20 years of Systems Engineering experience required
- Hands-on requirements engineering experience required
- Risk management experience required
- Acquisition documentation experience required
- DoDAF/UAF experience required
- CCB participation or attendance experience required
- Experience working in a classified defense, intelligence, or national security environment required
- Experience supporting program managers or technical leadership preferred
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with stakeholders across technical and program teams
- Ability to support requirements analysis, risk tracking, acquisition documentation, and architecture documentation
- Ability to work fully onsite in a secure facility
- Ability to work in Fort Meade, MD

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while reviewing requirements, technical documentation, risk materials, acquisition documentation, architecture artifacts, and program information
- Ability to communicate by phone, email, secure systems, and in person throughout the workday
- Ability to attend meetings, technical reviews, program discussions, and CCB-related activities as needed
- Ability to review technical documents, requirements, diagrams, reports, spreadsheets, and computer screens for extended periods
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, documentation, data entry, reporting, and standard office tasks
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout office or secure facility areas as needed
- Ability to work fully onsite in a secure facility environment while following all security, access, and site procedures
Salary Range: Up to $128.14/hour
