About the Role:

In this position, you will perform detailed assembly work using hand and power tools, following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to build and rework components to exacting standards. You will be responsible for ensuring assemblies meet IPC-610 criteria and internal quality benchmarks, playing a key role in maintaining production output and product reliability.

Shift: 6AM - 2PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components using hand and power tools according to drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform soldering and wiring on PCB assemblies, harnesses, and related components in line with IPC-610 workmanship standards.
  • Conduct in-process and final visual inspections to verify product quality, identifying and correcting defects or non-conformances.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams to determine assembly methods, sequence of operations, and required materials.
  • Handle rework and repair of assemblies as directed, ensuring all modifications meet quality and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including completion of production travelers, checklists, and inspection reports.
  • Follow established safety, ESD, and housekeeping procedures to keep the work area organized and compliant.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools for assembly, cutting, crimping, fastening, and related tasks.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions.
  • Hands-on soldering experience on through-hole and/or surface mount components to production standards.
  • Demonstrated experience performing basic quality checks, visual inspections, and defect identification.
  • Solid wiring skills, including routing, bundling, and termination of cables and harnesses.
  • Familiarity with IPC-610 standards and application of workmanship criteria in daily tasks.
  • Ability to work to defined production targets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in a contract manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.
  • Previous exposure to ESD-safe handling practices and clean manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with basic test equipment (e.g., multimeters) to verify continuity and simple electrical checks.
  • Background in rework or repair of PCB assemblies or cable harnesses.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • IPC-610 certification or equivalent training strongly preferred.
