Job Description

About the Role:

As a Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and products according to specifications on a production line. You will work with hand and power tools to complete assemblies efficiently and accurately, ensuring all products meet quality standards. Your work will help maintain production targets and support smooth operations across the manufacturing floor.

1st Shift - 6AM - 2:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate on a production line, maintaining required pace and output while following established workflows.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, fasten, and fit parts safely and accurately.
  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects, alignment, and proper function before passing to the next stage.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Record basic production data such as quantities completed, time, and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and support basic routine maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience working on a production line or in a high-volume assembly setting.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, or simple technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production schedules and targets.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
  • Familiarity with basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, tape measures).
  • Background in assembling mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial products.
  • Previous experience in a contract or temporary manufacturing role.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Vocational or technical training in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a related field preferred.
  • Safety training or certifications related to tool use or manufacturing environments advantageous.
